The Legal Task Force advises CSG on litigation in federal courts that has the potential to impact the fundamentals of federalism. Each year, the U.S. Supreme Court hears several cases that have a direct impact on states, the rulings of which could dramatically alter the relationship between the federal government and states. Working together with the State and Local Legal Center (SLLC), of which CSG is a member, the Legal Task Force has a unique opportunity to present a state perspective to the Court via amicus briefs.
The Task Force is made up of 12 legislators, three members from each of the four CSG regions.
